Landrace genetics, said plainly
A population that sat in a place long enough to look like that place. Not a brand. Not a flavour name.

Landrace means the line lived somewhere — a valley, an island, a plateau — long enough that the plants started looking like that weather. Farmers kept what finished. The rest died. There is no marketing department in that sentence.
Jamaica’s old fields were equatorial sativas: long flower, incense, mango. Highland Mexico, Hindu Kush, Durban’s South African story — each is a different sun. Calling everything ‘landrace sativa’ is how you buy the wrong pack.
On this catalogue
Lambs Bread in the Ruff drop is a Jamaican selection still in test: 11–14 weeks, greenhouse only, mould 2. Jah Orange Tree and the island lines sit in that same sun. They are not our Durban Poison Bx2. Durban is a landrace-descended line we already hunted and walked back twice. One is a library. One is a keeper we locked.
Scatter is the point of a landrace pack. You will see more shapes, more noses, more misses. Tightness is the point of a backcross. If a bank sells you a ‘landrace’ that is uniform like a Bx2, they either already worked it — and should say so — or they are using the word as garnish.
What we will not do
We will not flatten Jamaica into a Durban postcard. We will not print a finished terp chart on a population still in test. 15 regular £30, 30 regular £60 when germ tests pass. Waitlist until then.
