Lambs Bread vs Durban Poison Bx2

Same word — sativa — two different suns. The island incense line still in test, and the liquorice keeper we already locked.

People flatten both into ‘sativa’ and then wonder why the pack disappointed them. Lambs Bread is Ruff Genetics’ Jamaican selection: equatorial, incense over ripe mango, a flower that does not hurry. Durban Poison Bx2 is a South African story we ran in Liverpool and walked back twice — anise, liquorice, pine, the terpinolene first bar. Geography is not a synonym.

One is coming soon. One is on the shelf. That is the first honest line.

The plants, on this catalogue

Durban Poison Bx2: regular photoperiod, live. Lineage is Durban Poison × our Durban cut, Bx2. Tagline: pure Durban, double deep. Flower 9–10 weeks. UK finish mid-October under glass. Mould 3. Height indoor 120–160 cm, outdoor 180–250 cm. THC 18–22% from tests, not a wish. Terpenes on the keeper: terpinolene 34, ocimene 18, myrcene 16, pinene 14, caryophyllene 10. Two returns locked the liquorice without flattening the spark.

Lambs Bread: Ruff Genetics Jamaica, still in test. Lineage is their island Lambs Bread selection. Tagline: island incense, mango, wood. Flower 11–14 weeks. UK finish: greenhouse only. Mould 2. Advanced. THC and yield TBC until the line is locked. Working terp notes — terpinolene, ocimene, myrcene — are a sketch of the nose, not a finished chart we will print as law. Outdoor-bred under the Caribbean sun. We pack when germ and expression are honest.

Where they agree, and where they do not

Both are sativas. Both lean terpinolene if you squint at a pie chart. That is where the overlap ends. Durban’s terpinolene reads anise and pine. Lambs Bread’s reads incense and mango — a different room, a longer clock. Ocimene is louder in the island sketch (24 vs 18). Durban has more pinene and a pepper-caryophyllene finish we actually scored.

Time is the real split. Nine to ten weeks versus eleven to fourteen. A Merseyside October will finish the Bx2 under glass if you are honest about weather. Lambs Bread is not a North-West outdoor. Equatorial flowering. Greenhouse badge. Mould 2 means do not pretend a Wirral fence is Jamaica.

Work is the other split. Bx2 means we already hunted, returned, and packed. Lambs Bread is a landrace-descended population Ruff is still selecting. Scatter is the point of a landrace pack; tightness is the point of a backcross. If you want the liquorice we locked, buy Durban Poison Bx2. If you want the island library, join the Lambs Bread waitlist and wait.

The pack

Same sizes on both, when they ship: 15 regular £30, 30 regular £60. Durban you can bag today. Lambs Bread is notify-me until germ tests pass. Regular seed only. We do not feminize.

A longer geography note sits next to this one: Jamaica and Durban, said as plants. Jah Orange Tree, Strawberry Mousse, Gas Tree and Island Punch are the rest of that sun — also coming soon.
